Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis ski arena

Ski Freeride Ski touring Hiking

Around 180 kilometres of pistes and ski routes, 33 lifts and peaks up to 2,961 m — the Andermatt-Sedrun-Disentis ski arena is the largest connected ski area in Central Switzerland, and Hospental sits right on its doorstep.

The terrain covers every ability level: roughly a fifth of the runs are easy, a good half intermediate and the rest challenging. Thanks to its altitude — between 1,400 and almost 3,000 m — the region is among the most snow-sure winter destinations in Switzerland; on the Gemsstock the season usually runs from mid-November well into spring.

Snowparks

Freestylers get their fix at the g-park on the Gurschenalp on the Gemsstock; over in Sedrun, the halfpipe at Tegia Gronda invites you to catch some air.

From Hospental

The Gemsstock valley station in Andermatt is just a few minutes from Hospental — by car, ski bus or the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway. The railway also links Andermatt, the Oberalp pass, Sedrun and Disentis: on the train, you are practically sitting in the middle of the ski area.
